Prototype General-Purpose Mobile Suit
The MS-17 Galbaldy α was originally intended to be a successor to the YMS-15 Gyan. However, Zeon's higher ranks rejected the Gyan as their new front-line mobile suit in favor of the more versatile MS-14A Gelgoog. As a result, the MS-17 Galbaldy α's production lines were hastily refitted to suit this change, essentially making the MS-17 Galbaldy α a combination of YMS-15 Gyan and MS-14A Gelgoog designs. |
เครื่อง MS-17 Galbaldy α นั้นเริ่มแรกได้ถูกพัฒนาขึ้นเพื่อจะแทนที่เครื่อง YMS-15 Gyan แต่ว่าทางเจ้าหน้าที่ระดับสูงของ Zeon นั้นได้ปฏิเสธการเป็นกำลังรบหลักของเครื่อง Gyan แล้วไปใช้เครื่อง MS-14A Gelgoog แทน เป็นผลให้การผลิตเครื่อง MS-17 Galbaldy α ถูกปรับเปลี่ยนอย่างเร่งด่วนให้เข้ากับการเปลี่ยนแปลงนี้ จึงทำให้เครื่อง MS-17 Galbaldy α นั้นเป็นการรวมการออกแบบของเครื่อง YMS-15 Gyan และ MS-14A Gelgoog เข้าด้วยกัน |
